We are pleased to announce that Chris Travis has joined Trameto as Chief Technology Officer. Most recently Chris has worked in technology development for consumer electronics markets, notably as CTO of Redux, which was bought by Google in 2017.
Chris can switch seamlessly between technological deep-dives and big-picture analysis. He enjoys the heady mixture of engineering and commercial challenges that can be found in start-ups. He has a strong background in low power electronics design, complemented by significant experience in technology strategy, IP management, product licensing and teambuilding. He is named as inventor on 20 granted patents.
Chris brings to Trameto significant experience in switching converter design, and with a special focus on applications having high peak-to-average power ratios. He appreciates the importance of minimizing electrical energy losses, and has an armoury of techniques on hand for achieving this. Some of these techniques come from a formative period of nine years which Chris spent in various electronics design roles at the BBC.
Chris has a first-class masters degree from Cambridge University.
